Welcome to St Elisabeth’s CE Primary School. Mrs Amanda Lancashire - Head of School

Belonging, Believing and Becoming

On behalf of all the team, I would like to thank you so much for taking the time to visit our website and find out more about our school family here. We are very pleased to have this opportunity to inform you about the work and aspirations of our school. Our mission is to be a loving Christian community, where everyone has a sense of belonging, develops a strong belief in themselves and the Christian faith and achieves their full potential becoming the best they can be.

St Elisabeth’s Primary School is a Church of England School at the heart of its community and we are part of the family of the St James and Emmanuel Trust Academy. We consider ourselves to be a very special place.

As a Church of England Primary School, we are inclusive and everything we do is underpinned by our Christian ethos. Christian values are taught and encouraged at school and we see ourselves as belonging to one large school family. The warm, nurturing atmosphere in school has been commented on by many visitors and it is why so many families have chosen our school for their children. We strive to develop a sense of community which helps all pupils to develop confidence in themselves and their ability to succeed.

Our links with St Elisabeth’s church are strong and the children always enjoy our visits to church, as well as the Reverend's weekly visits to school.

Our top priority is to ensure that children are safe and happy at school.  Staff and governors work tirelessly to ensure that every child fulfils their potential.

To help us do this, we are always grateful for the help, co-operation and support of parents and carers, understanding that no-one knows your child as well as you. When we will all work in partnership – the child, the school and the home – incredible things can happen!  Our team of dedicated teachers, teaching assistants and support staff encourage all children to progress from the moment they start school.

We strongly believe that communication is vital for success and so school newsletters, the school website, parental events and  curriculum information, to name but a few, provide further information about life and learning at St Elisabeth’s throughout the year.  Working together with you we can help provide an excellent and enjoyable start to every child’s education preparing them to meet the many opportunities and challenges their future will hold, whatever and wherever that may be.

Our varied and balanced curriculum is provided by a team of highly qualified, enthusiastic and hard-working teaching and support staff. They ensure that the atmosphere of the school promotes achievement in all areas of each child’s development.

At St Elisabeth’s we are passionate about improving life chances for all of our children; teaching them to be compassionate, caring and tolerant of all peoples. We pride ourselves on being a calm, caring, hard-working school and we enjoy what we do. We offer a good wrap around care service, with breakfast and a range of extracurricular activities.

I hope to share with you this wonderful school and that you grow to be as proud of the school as I am.

Please take time to read the information on our website and help ensure that the information and expectations are shared with your child. Please do get in touch if you have any compliments, questions or queries – we are always very happy to help.

Our Events

No Upcoming Events VIEW ALL

Admissions

St Elisabeth's CE Primary School is a one and half form entry primary school for children aged 3-11. Every September we welcome 45 children into our reception class based on the catchment area.

Nursery Admissions

St Elisabeth's CE  is very fortunate to have a Nursery unit, as part of our Early Years education on site.  We are proud of our school and all that we are able to offer.

Our Nursery has a qualified teacher, together with two teaching assistants. As well as a focus on social, physical and language development, there is a clear learning focus to all that takes place and and we are able to have a structured and clear approach to the teaching of phonics. The progress children make in our nursery, both socially and academically is excellent and this ensures that the children have built an excellent foundation before starting school.   Admission to the Nursery is arranged the school term after the child’s third birthday, according to places being available, and is for  30 hours or 15 hours (part time):  currently am or pm.

Like the main school, the Nursery children take part in Nursery worship and Christian celebrations throughout the year, ensuring a strong Christian ethos  throughout the school.

Information about events can be found on our Nursery notice board outside the classroom.

You are always welcome in the Nursery. We hope that parents will join staff and children in visits and outings. We look forward to a long and successful partnership with you.

Admissions to Nursery can be made via Stockport online admissions.
